Kimmy Character Meme
I was using my Kimmy userpic to help illustrate a point yesterday, and then I wanted to do this. Sorry for spamming people.
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
She's a little short and while not overweight at all, she's far from a stick figure too, quite curvy.
2. How old is she?
... By this point? God, um... Including the time she was dead or not? Well over a hundred. Looks depend on how much elixir she's taken while in the apocalypse.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
She's Kimmy and she's proud and she's gonna walk that way! Also, if she slouched she would look even shorter than she already is...
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Her health has always been pretty good (except, you know, when she was dead), she's of hardy stock :P And she refuses to let illness defeat her, of course. She used to be out of shape with all the grilled cheese she eats, but she's in an apocalypse now and she's going to kick some ass.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
She's determined, she moves with purpose. Except when she's being in some way predatory, in which case think of a cat stalking its prey.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
She's godsdamn gorgeous and she doesn't care if you think otherwise. She is actually quite attractive facially and physically, but probably not quite as much as she'd claim.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Check the userpic :P She doesn't wear make-up much at all, but she is insistently clean, though that couldn't prevent every single spot in adolescence, whatever she might claim.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Black and actually a little frizzy if she lets it be, which she never does. She has it up and out of her way while making her look even more attractive, k thx.
9. What color are her eyes?
Dark blue, same as her mother's.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
If you knew where to look you could just about still make out where she was bitten to become a vampire on her neck.
11. What are her chief tension centers?
Forearms and hands itching to do something. I'd say something about idle hands being the devil's playthings, but Kimmy's are kind of such busy or not :P
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
Kimmy's not that bothered about her appearance, assured as she is that it's perfect regardless. In the apocalypse right now she's forced to wear yellow (and white) of all things, though the outfit isn't too bad otherwise, but she'd rather wear something more badass and black and blue if she could.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
The yellow outfit is a bit baggier on the stomach than she'd like - she has a figure and she'll use anything to her advantage. In the meantime she's just having to be fiercer to spell out how not-a-yellow-person she is.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
She's a mad scientist, so she gets to wear a stained lab coat (meh) and a robotic hand (awesome).
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Girl-boxers.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Medium and fluid, quite good for being charismatic when she wants to be.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
LOUD. Not always, but if she wants to say something, she's going to be heard. Hesitation? Er, that would imply some form of doubt. Kimmy does not doubt the things she thinks, unless they don't really matter.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any verbal tics?
She'd have whatever one she was brought up with because she changes for NO-ONE (but herself).
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Nothing that's not in common use around her (very, very little). Learn to speak her language, fool.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
No, unless she's using it to make fun of someone.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
Pffft, she doesn't think about her words except in very unusual conditions. She can be a surprisingly good impromptu speaker though.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Eloquent is too strong, but she's far from inarticulate. She says what she thinks except when she's manipulating people or is in actual danger (that she recognises) otherwise.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Most books are boring. She inherently knows the street art of confidence, intimidation and bluffing.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
It has to be a pretty complicated situation for her to decide she needs to deliberate, mostly she'll charge in.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Intuition is faster and also her, so naturally right. She can be very pragmatic.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
School back in Simfield (where she didn't pay a lot of attention), taught cooking by her father, and then forced to attend university in Hell, where she did quite well because she wanted to beat her twin and show Mzyra and this apocalypse who's boss.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
Cooking, especially grilled cheese. She was actually training to become a general, but, uh, she wound up studying Biology rather than History and the military didn't work out, so she took up science instead.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
She's very aggressive, but if you were to try to find the sensitive side of her... Well, if there is one, it is buried very deep down. Any emotions like (rare) sadness or whatever seem to get translated into anger, and she's very extroverted with stuff like that.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Mood swinging like hell, cheerful or angry, and very driven.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
She's assertive, if not aggressive. She will be in charge and you will not mess with her.

She fights dirty and can probably take most women easily as well as a lot of guys, and if she ever got in over her head in a fight with a guy she could and would easily switch to pretending to be an innocent woman being beaten up by a horrible man so he'd have to stop and people would be on her side, kind of meaning she won anyway.

She certainly appreciates her own jokes, etc, and she'll particularly appreciate other people's if it's at the expense of somebody else. She can enjoy innocent jokes and things, but she also has a cruel sense of humour.

Probably some kind of narcissism, maybe sociopathy? And pfffft, 'mental disorders' or no, she's better than all of you people.

When she first tried grilled cheese, when she realised as a child that there was an inequality between the sexes about fighting that she could use to her advantage (don't hit girls), when Terry usurped her son's love, when Tom killed her and Christian... When she was put in an apocalypse and told why.

Being powerless and/or humiliated.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
The same thing she hopes every night, Pinky: she's going to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!
Really, it can only be a matter of time until everyone acknowledges her superiority, especially after she kicks this apocalypse's ass.

Her dad's probably the person she's cared most about ever (outside herself) since he adored her (quite right), he loved grilled cheese too and he was generally pretty fun. She misses him sometimes.

Marina: They got along for a little while until Marina started taking exception to the way Kimmy treated the rest of her siblings. Whatever, her loss. She was a weird family sim too.
Sean: Always fun to pick on, and so sensitive to insinuations of being girly, it was just so easy. He occasionally got shots on Kimmy in return, but she was way ahead. Loser.
Nicola: Not very interesting (but at least sensibly deferential), weird family sim.
Terry: Ugggh, messy, fat little slob. And a weird family sim. And then he stole her son and made him kill her...! And of course Mzyra just loves him, so he's off getting some wonderful little family challenge thing while she's not allowed to shower or eat properly. Brat.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
Future: When they're all dead, she can get along somewhat with her nephew Seth, and her great-grandnephew Hideki seems to have some uses...
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
Kimmy needs no family, except maybe her father, nevermind some strangers.

Remarried, and she never expected that. Husband #1 is dead due to being murdered by their son, serves him right. Husband #2 she grudgingly accepts due to apocalyptic necessity (and he's also very good in bed and looks after the brats).

Herself. There shall never be a better lover :P

You're implying she would have a crush on someone? The only crush she would have had when she was younger would have been if she could have seen herself now. She is her own goddamn crush. Even she can't believe how amazing she is sometimes.

Adoring her while it being entirely unmutual, so she could call them when she feels like being told how great she is by somebody else or when she wants sex, and then being able to tell them to go away as soon as she's satisfied. Probably, in that case, some kind of emotional masochist.

Her son Tom, who murdered her, the ungrateful little sod. Luckily he's dead now too, so HA.
Her granddaughter Tessa who she barely met but was luckily so empty-headed that she provided an opportunity for Kimmy to escape.
Her daughter, um... A and her son B (they have full names, but whatever) who are new born babies and won't shut the hell up or learn how to use the bathroom already. Just as well Justus looks after them, or they'd be out in the snow by now.
Oh, and there was that other kid she had and left somewhere, she thinks it was a boy...? Whatever, probably dead by now anyway.

Besides Terry? Probably, but like she'd be bothered to learn their names. Oh, Mzyra might count, smug bitch.

What, like girls? Girls are stupid. And so are guys. Who the hell would be attracted to any of them. But Kimmy knows how to use a man's body better than a woman's so she goes for them. Also she enjoys manipulating men more.

She has needs, wants, desires and she will fulfil them. What Kimmy wants Kimmy gets.

She's pretty much prejudiced against everyone. Girls are stupid whiny airheads, guys are neanderthals whose only brains are in their dicks. Everyone is inferior to her. Oh, but family sims particularly. God only knows how she's married to one, probably just that he's useful...

Bit hard to define in an apocalypse. You can have plenty of money, but if you can't do anything with it...!

Born into a shack back then, but things improved. Kind of lower middle class, but don't mistake this: she is the epitome of humanity, regardless of any or all social status.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
The apocalypse 'house' is a goddamn prison, stuck with newborn twins in an arctic wasteland, but at least it's warm and has some food. And a man with sex on tap.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Whatever she damn well pleases, outside the apocalypse. Inside the apocalypse there's nothing to spend it on even if you want to.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
She's currently a Mad Scientist and nobody has a standard to hold her against in Hell. But she does like experimenting with potentially explosive stuff, so she's got the 'Mad' Scientist aspect down pretty darn well. She'd rather be leading her own Military-cum-Cult, but there's plenty of time for that...
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
Her interests are grilled cheese. She misses it so... Also being bossy, bullying people and getting her own way. Nowadays she spends her free time writing books complaining about how crap everything is and how great she is, yelling at her husband, getting it on with her husband, and hitting unsuspecting passersby with snowballs (with occasional stones inside).

Grilled Cheeeeeeeeese - if she could darn well have it. And she'd never skip a meal if she didn't have to. She's not a big drinker, but then she doesn't need her inhibitions lowered.

She totally doesn't have a turn on for strong people being able to control her, how dare you. But the adoring type she tends to go for actually is a bit of a turn off. She likes a bit of a challenge, even a bit of a fight. Though totally not like being tied up, where do you get these ideas from?

LOL, no. But she loves moral codes in other people, they're great to use against people. OH, unless you count things being unclean. Some things are just gross.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Intolerant. Join the religion of Kimmy today or get your ass handed to you, fool.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
She's pretty much prejudiced against everyone. Girls are stupid whiny airheads, guys are neanderthals whose only brains are in their dicks. Everyone is inferior to her. Oh, but family sims particularly. God only knows how she's married to one, probably just that he's useful...
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Bit hard to define in an apocalypse. You can have plenty of money, but if you can't do anything with it...!
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
Born into a shack back then, but things improved. Kind of lower middle class, but don't mistake this: she is the epitome of humanity, regardless of any or all social status.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
The apocalypse 'house' is a goddamn prison, stuck with newborn twins in an arctic wasteland, but at least it's warm and has some food. And a man with sex on tap.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Whatever she damn well pleases, outside the apocalypse. Inside the apocalypse there's nothing to spend it on even if you want to.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
She's currently a Mad Scientist and nobody has a standard to hold her against in Hell. But she does like experimenting with potentially explosive stuff, so she's got the 'Mad' Scientist aspect down pretty darn well. She'd rather be leading her own Military-cum-Cult, but there's plenty of time for that...
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
Her interests are grilled cheese. She misses it so... Also being bossy, bullying people and getting her own way. Nowadays she spends her free time writing books complaining about how crap everything is and how great she is, yelling at her husband, getting it on with her husband, and hitting unsuspecting passersby with snowballs (with occasional stones inside).
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Grilled Cheeeeeeeeese - if she could darn well have it. And she'd never skip a meal if she didn't have to. She's not a big drinker, but then she doesn't need her inhibitions lowered.
