Friday Night Football!
Another update on Texas High School Football
They had a "bi week" so nothing to report. Oldest Kidling used the time to hang out with friends and in general be a 17 year old. Everyone needs those times. She spent the time also working on her art portfollio and while as her Mom I think her art work is wonderful I must admit to having been shocked at the level of her art. Gone are the days of making a crayon picture for me to hang on the fridge. This kid is producing art work that is studio quality. Her art instructors have entered some of her work in contests and she always places. I am thinking she might need to re-examine her choice of college majors and instead of pursuing a degree/career in voice acting she might want to look into the arts. Give the kid paint, pencils, charcol whatever medium and she is producing awsome work.
We need some major bounce back in our step. Once again the Roo's lost making for the UIL season 2-3. We have to win the next 2 games or no playoffs.
As usual the band seems to make strides in improvement each game and contest. I dont know if it was my looking and wanting to see it or if it was really there but it seemed the kids were marching a little straighter, holding their heads up higher and in general marching like a "performance level" band since their perfect score win at UIL the previous Saturday.
