Conclusion to the luggage saga

The spiffy new luggage I bought arrived. Upon inspection, I was a little disappointed with the capacity. One choice that puzzles me is that they put a piece of stiff material between the liner and the rungs of the collapsing handle, blocking the center channel between the rungs so you can't put stuff there. I'm considering cutting a slit in the (non-removable, also an unusual choice) liner to remove it, and then sewing it back up. On the other hand, the thing is damn light, and impressively roll-y and spin-y, as advertised.

However, today I found a TravelPro 22" Walkabout Lite 3 at my door, courtesy of Continental Airlines (in black, sadly). It is not so light, nor spin-y, but does have the kind of capacity I'm used to. I think I shall attempt a trial of using the smaller piece for shorter trips or summery locales and the bigger piece for longer trips or wintery locales.

Which means that I now have quite a lot of luggage in various sizes...um, five pieces in all.
