Work deadline looming

I've been working on a major revision of one of our most important courses for the last...six months? With breaks to go to Italy and re-write our certification exam questions and so on. Actual work done on the course has kinda slowed to a crawl the past couple of months...eep. I have the first day done, and most of the first half of the second day...of a four-day course.

But now I have a deadline: December 7. That's the beta presentation to internal employees. There was some debate about making it the week before, which would likely have made my Thanksgiving weekend much less pleasant. On the other hand, the current date might throw a wrench into plans to go to NYC to see The Cat Empire on December 5. It'll just be motivation to avoid procrastinating, right? Right!

Part of the debate over the date was trying to mesh the beta with the availability of our London-based trainer. That's been shelved now, but the intriguing possibility has been brought up of sending me to London to teach the course the first week of January, partly for his benefit. Yes, please!
