The mourning process for Finn has already begun within the show, what with the bubbles/walk past Sardi's/anguished look at the Glee Club photo, even though the characters obviously don't know anything yet. Puck isn't at the proposal. We'll get through this, Min. <3
Artie is a total stud. Tina names all his old insecurities as well.
Marley and Unique at the carnival make me smile. New girls sticking together!
This entire episode was really adamant that we remember the correct ethnicities of the ambiguous and multiracial characters. As to the "least gay and least Asian" line--well, Blaine's Asian (and he's in touch with Mike per 4x08, so he's brushing off the subject when he breezily says that Mike broke up with Tina for "not being Asian enough") and Ryder's subtext with Jake was not really subtext.
I have no frame in which to predict what Sue will do next, but I am avidly anticipating her next move.
Just like with Sandy, Figgins is allowed back into the school even after the authorities got involved. I suppose I don't mind if Sue is going to keep tormenting him. That said, she just fulfilled the plan Roz abandoned due to leaving for most of season four (NeNe Leakes's role on The New Normal). This isn't a partnership, though--Roz is as mean as Sue but much less competent, and Sue demands results.
"Hard Day's Night" was glorious. Hey, this time around, there's no indication that Rachel is taking cues from the assignment at McKinley. She does Beatles numbers at the same time as ND. I think there's a lot to be said about the connection between ND members and their musical charisma in this episode. Rachel begins singing and the other performing waitstaff join in, and Blaine and Sam rope the entire show choir world into the proposal scheme.
What's the problem with Schuester's zip-up vest?
Burt's speeches always just punch me in the heart. Best TV dad.
My uncle and his fiancée were married 22 months after their engagement because their wedding was a huge affair with performances and speeches and multiple venues. Now, we're talking about Kurt Hummel, who can orchestrate his father's wedding in a week, but Will and Emma were engaged for a bit over a year before the failed ceremony. I'm sure that Kurt and Blaine's current situation will carry us through to at least the season finale--whenever that is in the Glee-world by then. I think we're in May 2013 at this point.
There's no problem with Schue's vest, it mostly just surprised me? I can't remember if he's worn it before, and it feels more modern or stylish than his usual stuff. And on the other hand, I've never noticed a zip-up vest that's cut like the usual button ones? The zip-up vests around here tend to be polarfleece and go all the way up to a collar, to keep warm in the wind.
