Morning! (Not at work, HAHA!)
My apologies to anyone who tried to catch me on AIM last night; I passed out around 8:30 and slept like the dead for 10 hours. I have been on the brink of exhaustion for weeks now, so this was clearly necessary. I will try again tonight though--I am free from work for the rest of this week (except overnight Saturday) and all of next.
Only news of note to impart today is that yesterday I was selected to sit in a jury on a criminal trial. I cannot discuss it of course, so I will only say that the judge (who appears to be a very nice lady) told us that the trial shouldn't last more than 3-4 days, which is enough to get me out of work for the rest of the week, and will only minimally encroach on my vacation, and shouldn't interfere at all with the shows I have tickets for at night (Projektfest on Friday, Arcade Fire on Sunday). Those silly people at the supermarket will just have to make due without me :p Anyway, my job will pay me for all the days I'm on jury duty, so it's really almost like a paid extension of my vaca :p I've never been a juror before, and I think it will be an interesting experience.
But here, I must get moving--I need to report to the courthouse by 1:30, and I must go to the laundromat before that...
