And....we have growth! Not much in the way of flowers yet (aside from the few already blooming plants I've purchased locally) but plenty of greenery! Certainly an improvement from the
previous garden post. The mild temperatures & rain we've had the past few days have prompted the daffodils and most of the tulips to go crazy--I swear they've all grown a couple of inches since I took this picture last night. Irises and daylilies are coming along nicely, and many of the other bulb types are poking out shoots. The last of my preordered mail order plants, the Datura & Brugmansia, arrived a couple of days ago. They were a bit wilty at first and dropped some leaves, but they appear to be acclimating and have perked up nicely :)
Columbine! This is one of the plants that I bought last weekend. It seems to be none the worse for being pelted by hail :p This is one of my all time favorite flowers; I'm currently growing two varieties besides this one, and I had my eye on a few more down at the garden center...they have a miniature one with tiny flowers that is only six inches tall! Well, it's exciting to me, anyway...
