Reckon it's time I took a break from the pub. It'll still be open, but I'm leaving it in someone else's hands. If it doesn't burn down to the ground while I'm gone I think I'll be back in a week tops.

Well, much as one might think getting dragged against ones' will to a Halloween party in a fancy hotel could be an ideal way to celebrate my birthday it turns out one would be wrong. I find it funny that just over a week ago I was planning a weekend trip back to Massachusetts and wishing I had someone to go drinking with, and now I'm in a creepy hotel wondering if I'm even going to live until my next birthday. I love the nice little boost to my business I get when Halloween is imminent, though it does make me feel a bit nostalgic for when I was younger in Ireland, and when I was a teenager in Salem. It occurs to me that I've been going about things all wrong, clinging to the grudges from my past instead of moving on. I've been so fixated on my old hatreds that I've barely lived. In the past few days I have randomly collected more weaponry than I know what to do with. If, for whatever reason, riots break out in the streets, I am all set. I just really wish I could stop said weapons from flying at me like they're attracted to me, since I'm running out of bandages.
