Since Sekhmet had disappeared from the suite, Ra had been quietly frantic. The only reassurance that he had was that she was strong, that where she was, Sekhmet would be alright. That did not set his concerns at rest but there was little he could do especially when the darkness set in. He had no indication of where she had gone, he could have gone down to the floor she had been on before but there was no promise that she would even be there.

Instead he placed calls to her cell phone but every time, only her voice mail answered.

It was dark but there was no sleep to be found tonight. He tried her number one more time but this time, it was not her voice mail that answered but only silence. The call had been answered but he only heard soft ragged breaths on the other end. He didn't have to be told who it was on the other end even if she wasn't or couldn't talk.

So he talked to her then, the changes he could hear in her breathing let him know that she was listening. He told her stories that he had told her many times before but it didn't matter.

Finally, Ra heard the soft breathing stop but the Sun God couldn't bring himself to end the call. Instead he sat there in the darkness with the cell phone sitting on the armrest beside him, silent.

[ooc: takes place after Sekhmet's conversation with Hathor]
