I tend to find it's the friends who approach me first, especially if it's in a unique, memorable manner, who tend to make the biggest first impressions. Haha! Sounds like you could definitely have a really cool friendship with her ahead of you!
I used to be super-shy, oh my goodness. I'm rather enthusiastic now. It's a huge shift. I'm still quite capable of regressing back into being rather quiet at times, though. I suppose it depends on my mood.
Oh GOD, I hate math and the thought of taking it again so soon. *shudders* I actually tried to do it for this summer semester but dropped it after receiving the schedule. Heck. No. Nope, won't do fast track math. I'm taking the summer OFF.
Hee! I hear you! It terrifies me, too, like I said before. XD Enjoy your summer off! I loathe taking summer courses. It's just...so much at once, y'know? It's hard to keep up with, and it's so many days per week. More power to those who can do it! I'd just sooner avoid summer semesters, if I can...
She just told me to shut up, and then she said it couldn't be any of the main characters because they have to live. It made us to complacent.
Oh, but don't you know, that's when The Whedon is most likely to strike! When The Whedon is least expected!!
When it did happen, I just closed my eyes and turned my head and whispered, "Whedon," in a low hard voice. In my head I was clenching my fist in the air as I said it. :D
That's the best reaction! Haha! I think my body went cold and I sort of...gaped up at the screen in a mute sort of horror. At that moment, I could not have been peeled from my seat from the force of a collapsing star, so great was the gravity holding me down.
I'm going to play a game and guess what kind of camera your dad has. I have EXPERIENCE, you see. *holds hands to my temples and strains* Is it...is it a Nikon? My second guess is a Canon. TELL ME I HAVE NOT HORRIBLY ERRED!
Hee, I can definitely be the recluse every now and then. My introvertness is ingrained in me too deep for me to ever get TOO open and talkative to people. Usually, they have to engage me in conversation if they want me to open my mouth. XD
I will be enjoying my summer immensely now that I don't have to worry about classes, so thanks! You're right about the people who can do it during the summer. I tip my hats to them.
DING DING DING! It's a Canon! :D I have absolutely no idea what model though. >.< My dad has given me many a lecture on how to use it and what kind it is, but I only retained on what buttons did what. >.> Hee, I wasn't quite that bad, but I really don't know the model. XD All I know is that I love that sucker and I know how to use it. >:D
I kinda view myself as an introvert who has learned to mimic the behaviors of extroverts. Although, occasionally, I am also simply someone who is too over-happy to hold back my enthusiasm for awesome things. I do not know if that makes me both, but I suppose everyone has traits from both. If that makes any sense? I may be rambling aimlessly a bit here. ^_^;
DING DING DING! It's a Canon! :D
YAAAAYYYY!!!! Oh, I love Canons. LOOOOOOVVVEEEE Canons. Seriously. Those cameras can take a beating, and they still work so brilliantly. Definitely my favorite brand name of all the cameras I've had over the years.
My dad has given me many a lecture on how to use it and what kind it is, but I only retained on what buttons did what. >.>
Hee! Aw, it's all right. I think it's perfectly fine to just point and click, and fiddle with camera settings when bored. Getting obsessive about that sort of thing would drive me crazy. XD Really, if the camera takes good pictures, who cares that much about the extra settings? :D
Yes, that makes perfect sense, actually. :D I'm pretty much the same except it's only around my friends that I let loose my squee side. Well, friends, family, and internet. XD
Canons are AWESOME. I love my Dad's but now since I have recently learned that he SOLD it, I'm bummed. There's no way I could ever afford a camera like that in the near future. Maybe when I'm retired and don't care how much money I spend anymore. :I Oh well, I still have my little digital camera (it's a canon too :D) and it will serve it's purpose. ^.^
And sorry for taking so long to comment back. Life has been insane lately and I just got back from a trip to San Francisco. @_@
Oh gosh, you went to San Francisco!? I LOVE that city! It's one of my favorite places to visit. Did you get to see the sea lions on the dock? I went there a couple months ago, and it was quite possibly one of the best vacations I ever took. So many fond memories! Did you take pictures there? :D
I love it there as well! My friend and I flew out there to see my sister, who's a traveling nurse, and she led us on a tour for the weekend. I had been there before about five-six years ago, but it was my friends first time. The trip was her graduation present from her parents and me. :D
We went to the dock on Sunday! We spent almost all morning exploring Pier 39 and then ate lunch at Bubba Gump's. After that we saw the seals, explored a bit more, and then headed back to Pacifica, that's where my sister lives at moment, and went hiking on some awesome beach trails. I loved every minute of it!
Did I take pictures? PFFFFF, I HAS HUNDREDS. SO MANY PICS. SO MANY.
I have to be honest though; I wouldn't want to live in San Francisco. It's a wonderful place to visit and spend a few days or weeks in, but after a while I think I would start to get edgy. To much country in me I guess. >.
YES!! I love San Francisco! It makes me ecstatic just thinking about it. If a city could be a soulmate, I felt like it could've been mine when I was there. But then, I kind of agree I wouldn't prefer living there indefinitely, but my reason is more to do with the occasional earthquakes and how horrible driving must be there when it's icy. The parking alone...oh dear. But I love that place so much. I'd gladly go back for a visit.
I feel like I must be revealing some ignorance in having to ask this, but what does it mean to be a traveling nurse? Is that exactly what it says: a nurse who works in more than one place? Ohhhh, a job that allows intermittent time spent in San Francisco, nice. :D
Pier 39 is hands-down my favorite place in the world right now, save for perhaps places in the world where I go to be in the company of certain friends. I mean, people over places, right? But if I had to be completely alone for a fair amount of time, I think I'd find a fair amount of contentment around Pier 39. Something about it...I dunno. The creaking of the boats, the chill of the air, the enthusiasm of the people, the flight of seagulls, the deep call of sea lions, the rustic wooden docks, and the lull of the water... I just felt so all-over happy when I was there.
I'm trying so hard to remember if I ate at Bubba Cump's or not. I remember clearly being recommended by a local to go there, am I'm pretty sure I at least walked by it, but I don't remember if I actually went there. There were some street vendors that I kept getting my food from... I had squid there, and that was SO GOOD.
Did you see any of the artists who make paintings with spray paint!? One of my favorite pantings, I bought on a sidewalk up there. Buying it was a little awkward, though, since I kept trying to tell the person how GREAT his art was, but he apparently didn't speak any English and so I eventually just stopped speaking and laughed in embarrassment for a bit, because I hadn't realized this at first. Fun times.
I didn't walk any of the beach trails, but I did walk the entire Golden Gate bridge, both across and back, and that was fantastic.
Did I take pictures? PFFFFF, I HAS HUNDREDS. SO MANY PICS. SO MANY.
Are you going to post any?? Ahhh, this is making me want to find and share some of mine, haha. I'll have to surf through that sometime. XD
