When Ubuntu puts out a new release (every 6 months or so), it gets a release number, but it also has a "cute" code name while it's under development, and some people like to refer to it by the name instead of the number. So, Ubuntu 6.06 is "Dapper Drake", 6.10 was "Edgy Eft", 7.04 was "Feisty Fawn", and the new 7.10 is called "Gutsy Gibbon
