Arthur was sitting at his desk, drinking his favorite PG Tips, watching it drizzle outside his window. It reminded him being home this time of year, all the gray skies and rain. His fairy friends were all huddled in the window seat out of the wet, looking gloomy themselves. They were just picking at the cookie Arthur had given them. The whole mood in this room the past month, even despite the rain, was gloomy. He had just finished reading the school news this morning, and his first thought had been, "What if the student injured is Francis?" It made his mood even gloomier to think about. Especially not knowing if his fears were warranted or not.
One little fairy fluttered over and walked up his arm. She was a very pretty little thing. Her wings when folded against her back looked like a blushing pink rose. Her shoulder length hair was styled and pulled back into a ponytail at the nape of her neck just like a certain Frenchman they both new, she even mimicked his SAUNTER. She spent quite a bit of her time coming in and out of Francis' room. She had really taken a fancy to his ex.
She gracefully bent and sipped from Arthur's cup, standing on his hand before turning to look at him, folding her hands behind her back to look up at him. Her pretty blue eyes large and full of pity.
"Il suffit d'aller présenter des excuses de votre cœur. Il vous aime toujours et que vous l'aimez. Il est inquiétant de vous en ce moment." She said to Arthur then smiled tenderly and fluttered up to kiss his cheek.
"Love survives mistakes. Even the big ones." She added before vanishing in a shower of pink glitter and a strong smell of roses. She had gone back to Francis.
She was of course so very right and he had left this matter festering between them and unresolved for far too long. He knew he had been wrong, that he had taken out his anger and frustration on the one person who had deserved it least. Francis had been a convenient target and the venomous words he had spat out without thinking of the harm they would cause had been left unchecked to wound deeper and deeper.
He had to swallow his pride, shore up his fears and go and right an egregious wrong.
He got up and headed to Francis' Dorm and stood outside a few moments before raising his hand to knock...
