Today I relearned how to use Microsoft Publisher while making the first draft of the DragonMech Battles mech sheet.
DragonMech Battles (in case you haven't heard) is this tabletop miniatures game that
walrusjester and I are making. I think the core mechanics of the game are pretty solid now, but there's a lot of work to do in the "tweaking and balancing" department.
Not exactly sure when the game is scheduled to be released now. The original plan was to have it out in June for Origins, but the publisher wants to allow plenty of time for playtesting. And that seems very wise to me. Playtesting is the only way we'll be able to do all the tweaking and balancing that needs to be done. So we're looking at maybe an August GenCon release, possibly later.
You can help us by volunteering to play the game and report back to us about what parts are cool and what parts suck, and then when it comes out your name will be in it. All you have to do is get some friends together and play the hell out of the game for a month or two. The more good playtesters we have, the sooner we can get the game out to the world!
