(no subject)
How far along? 15 weeks exactly!
Maternity clothes? I need more clothes. Goodness. I really wish they made guys cargo shorts/pants in maternity sizes, but clearly I'm part of a very small, niche market. I guess the way I fill up those pockets, my belly wouldn't be able to hold them up anyway.
Weight Gain? Maybe 13 pounds? I'm definitely seeing more of a bump than last week.
Stretch Marks? Nothing yet. I really need to start putting lotion/cocoa butter/whatever on before they start. I've never, ever needed lotion... I've never had dry skin, it's super smooth, so this is going to be a tough habit to get into.
Sleep? AC has been broken for a few days, and even with an extra benadryl, I'm waking up every hour and a half or so. Baby pain isn't really bothering me though, as long as I stay on my left side.
Sickness? Nothing regular. Last night was only the third time I've thrown up, but I was an idiot and did not eat well at all yesterday.
Movement? Nothing yet... although sometime last week I had a really weird kind of pain on my right side, I wasn't sure if it was a kidney, a kid, or a kid kicking a kidney.
What I miss? Still, my Segway. I gave it up for good. I told John the first time I felt any sort of imbalance, I wouldn't ride it anymore. I felt a little woozy going down the stairs early last week and that's it. I can't wait until my golf cart gets here. This farm is huge.
Food cravings? Tomatoes! We finally have homegrown ones here (at the farm) and they are incredible. I'm eating them like apples. No heartburn or anything from them, either. Any kind of bready stuff. Mostly salt over sugar.
Food aversions? Seems like lately processed stuff is not working out for me. Makes sense.
What I’m looking forward to: starting our registry! We got a really nice BOB jogging stroller from Suzanne (our old manager at Chuck E Cheese) and I was really excited about it, but even more intrigued by how stoked John was! I never thought I'd see him get that giddy over a stroller!
Mood? I've been SO super grumpy in the mornings.
Milestones? Getting the stroller, that's our first "big ticket" item! Hopefully tonight we'll be getting in touch with a realtor.
Things I wish people knew: I think I covered most of them last week. Seems like everyone wants to know if we're going to find out the sexes and what names we're thinking about. Yes we are going to find out, and we'll tell everyone. We're going to keep names to ourselves for a while, but we're picking from our family trees. Fortunately, both of us have people who have done extensive research on our genealogy. Scent Flower, Dashing Stream, And Chief Murmuring Ripple are all my favorites... coming from the Powhatan part of the tree. And if the kids are reading this many moons from now, that was a joke.
