How far along? 14 weeks exactly!
Maternity clothes? Just getting started... have two pairs of pants and one shirt. Starting to wear lots of John's shirts. I was low on summer clothes as it is, and here's to hoping that this time next year I can buy some new SMALLER ones!
Weight Gain? About 12 pounds. Healthy weight gain is 35-40 lbs.
Stretch Marks? Nothing yet.
Sleep? Same as pre-pregnancy. I get around 8 or so hours, wake up two or three times a night for a snack.
Sickness? Only thrown up twice! Right after though, its been the best I've felt the entire pregnancy!
Movement? Nothing yet. Saw a different OB this morning (my regular doctor wants us to see all the doctors in the practice at least once, in case he isn't able to deliver) and she almost made me feel guilty for not having felt anything yet. Cramps have started to flare in the past few days where the babies are, but that's it!
What I miss? Liking food. Roller coasters. My Segway (I still cheat, but I can't "ride hard"). At the beach I was bummed that I couldn't boogie board or jet ski.
Food cravings? Slurpees. Grilled Cheese (I thought I hated cheese?). Broccoli. Fries.
Food aversions? Seems like everything. Especially leftovers. Definitely chicken, zucchini, squash and pineapple. Not a huge fan of yogurt, either... except McDonald's.
What I’m looking forward to: Having an appetite. Maybe getting to find out the sexes in two weeks!
Milestones? Second trimester!
Things I wish people knew: They are fraternal twins, and we're hoping for one of each. "Whose side do they run on?" well, my great-grandma had 5 sets of twins, but Clomid was a nice booster for us. We don't actually have anything to hide about it taking us a year to conceive and needing a little booster. I wish people knew more about multiples. I'm going to start showing (well, I am...) way earlier, and way bigger, than I would if it was one. Twins usually come two weeks earlier than singletons. Twin pregnancies can be really hard, but so far this journey has been so much smoother than what I expected.
