School has been in session for a week so far, but it's felt like longer. Bah. I like my classes so that's good at least.
Communications is a fun class. I can deal with having a class at 7:45, but appearantly normal people have trouble with it. My teacher is super fun. He reminds me a lot of Colin Mocherie from 'Who's Line is it Anyway'. I'm looking forward to it. I'm pretty sure I'm one of the only seniors in the class, so that's fun. :P YAY for 100 level classes!!
Program Design is an interesting class. I think it's going to be kind of hard. It's a 400 level class so I wouldn't be surprised. But hopefully it'll be interesting enough for me to push myself. The professor is my advisor, and she's alright. She's chilled out a lot since her semester off and hopefully the class will go well.
Innovative Activites should be a blast. I love my professor. I've had her before, and she's totally awesome. We only meet once a week though and it's a 3 hour night class. So I have a feeling it's going to be pretty intense, but at the same time I think it should be a pretty sweet class. I already know that later I get to work with a group and facilitate some adaptive sled hockey. Score!
Facilitation Techniques is another awesome class. We played with drums and did the hokey pokey in class today. :D My professor is hilarious. She's a child life specialist so she's totally kooky, but in a good way. It's a hoot. The class has already opened me up to seeing the possibilities of ways to do things with possible future clients. Totally stoked.
Populations is also a great class (man I picked the right major). It's really fun learning about different populations in the world and about the ways that they can function. I have to spend 5 hours in a wheelchair in the class and it should be pretty interesting looking at things from a different perspective. The professor is a teddy bear like black man who had knee surgery. He said 'shit' in class today. Totally amazing. Overall I'm excited.
In other news!
Work has been fun. I love some of the kids beyond all belief, and I hope that sometime their parents call me to babysit. :P Jordan called me yesterday when my phone was dead and left me a voicemail saying to call him back. I called him back and we talked for like an hour. :D Is it pathetic that it made my week? I'm SO excited to go to Kansas and visit him. I hope the surprise isn't somehow ruined, and I hope that he isn't busy or something. :P
