Bah Humbug!
Why is it that every time something good happens something bad has to follow it? I finally get a break and find a job in my field that's close to home and I'm excited to finally be getting a check that will pay all my bills and leave me in the black. But... they screwed up my paperwork at my last job so now I can't get paid until they fix their crap. That can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. So now all of my bills have cleared and I am $450 in the red and Christmas is only 3 weeks away. I could scream. Aggghhh! Oh and then there's the annoying sore throat and congestion that refuses to go away. It's quite awkward when your nose starts to drip right when you have a needle stuck in someone's arm and can't stop it. On the slightly positive side, my job is going well. I get along ok with the people that I work with, my schedule isn't too bad although getting up at 5am is rough. Hopefully that will change once I am done with training.
Anyhow, lots of good things happening in my friends' lives. Desi is getting married in April and I'm so excited for her and Steve. I will be flying up to be her maid of honor and it is indeed an honor that she is still my friend after all these years. Lisa and Josh are soon to be parents of a beautiful baby girl in Feb. I can't wait. I've been buying all kinds of baby stuff. It's really addictive. I kind of feel very weird because everyone is doing all kinds of grown up things and I'm not really. But I don't want to be very grown up just yet. Having a career is enough for now.
I miss my sister she's in California and I don't have anyone to decorate with for the holidays. It doesn't feel like Christmas without the tree and lights and baking cookies. I hope the new year brings good tidings.
