For those of you interested... the
YouTube symphony videos are done and uploaded. They were due at 11:59pm Eastern time, I got them done at 10:52 Central (which means I got in just under the wire with 7 minutes to spare).
I'm still not happy with either video. Too many mistakes were made, I got frustrated, much swearing was done, over 30 videos shot (not all of them full pieces... hence the swearing), emmasdad kidney stone from hell hasn't helped matters (I can't play with him in the house and he was home Fri and Sun and I felt guilty asking him to leave - even when he offered) and I discovered that putting a camera in front of me is much worse than just going somewhere and playing a solo. Apparently when I have the power to stop the recorder and start over because of the tiniest mistake - well, I do use the stop button - a lot. *sigh*
Alas, it is done. Now to see if it gets me anywhere - I'm kind of doubting it, but *shrug* at least I can say I accomplished it and I'm feeling much less like a failure tonight. (Monday was a HORRIBLE recording night where nothing went right and I was in tears by the end of it and was ready to permanently park my horn in its case). I think the fact that I got a call today to sub in for a performance of BCT's "Man of La Mancha" helped boost the ego a bit which made tonight a much better recording session even though I was already exhausted.
Right, I've had two martinis and am feeling way out ... way out? What was I trying to say? hmm... feeling way exhausted I think. going to bed.
Night!
Oh and when/if the time comes, y'all better vote for me so I can go to New York!
Ok, bed now.
