Right, so when we last left our crazy horn player, she had just discovered that for the YouTube Symphony audition you have to do 2 videos. One of the YouTube piece and one from a choice of 3 standard pieces (all of which meant transposition for me). I chose the Mozart and got to work.
Last night's rehearsal essentially had me in tears and I seriously considering throwing my horn down the stairs. However, today the Mozart was flawless... that means - As of today I AM READY!
Which brings up my next issue - the video recorder I was planning on using makes my gorgeous horn sound like a tin can. UGH!
Anyone out there have a camcorder they'd be willing to let me borrow for a little bit (let's say 1 week just to be safe - the videos are due Jan 28th and I have a feeling it will take me a couple of tries to get something I'm happy with)?
