Dave and I watched this episode at the same time, while chatting about it on Gmail. So fun! I recommend this, it's like watching TV with someone, but no one will ever talk over the dialogue!
Okay, so I knew Tara was going to die, but not like THAT! Holy crap, that sucks so much. I'm a sucker for dramatic stuff, though (I know, you are all so surprised!), and the blood covering Willow was nice. Willow is totally going to tear up some shit. Which is awesome, I like watching her kick ass. I'm sure Joss Whedon was giggling like a weasel because they just put Amber Benson into the opening credits in this episode.
I knew Xander was going to leave Willow at the altar, but Anya made me all sad when she was so excited, and her vows were so good! Oh, show. You kill me. I like Xander better without her, though, as bad as I feel. I still think (and probably always will!) that he carries a torch for Buffy.
Speaking of Buffy! I knew Spike would try to rape her in this episode, but I guess I wasn't fully prepared for it. It was so...wow. Sarah Michelle Gellar is a really good actress, I think. She can be so emotional, so strong and kick-ass, but also so vulnerable and raw. I wonder if Xander or Buffy will tell Willow.
I wish Buffy could take Spike seriously. He really does love her, and I feel like they *could* have a good relationship. Oh well.
I feel like all of the spoilers that I knew have taken place, except that I know about one more character-death, and I know the general plot of season 7. Otherwise, I'm generally unspoiled. Wheee!
