Some followed their dreams and the others stood clear
so on friday, it started off well, I was working outside, I sneezed a few times, sniffled a little and then I go to work, and *BAM* it gets worse and worse as the hours go by. So now I feel like I'm dying and hate having to lay down all day. And my nose hurts.
And I was so close to finally giving Kirby (my next door neighbors almost-cat that they don't take of anymore...) his medicene since he has ear mites, but little miss Precious (next door neighbors dog that they let run around loose all hours of the night) came bounding up the back decks stairs and Kirby took off like a rocket. He has huge scabby wounds behind his ear from scratching and who knows the next time he'll be back?....
Legend of the Seeker is on again tonight. My FAVORITE BOOK EVER (Wizard's First Rule which this show as been re-named after) has been turned into a c-grade tv series. They dumbed it down so that 'everyone' will like it, but it's so terrible no one likes it. The dialouge is that of a 5 year old and the visual effects are so 10 years ago. The first 2 hour primere episode was okay, I could deal with it, it followed the book, but the continuing episodes have gotten worse and don't follow the book at all. Not that I expect them too, but why the hell is Richard running around saving ciniving girls brothers? He's supposed to be trying to find the Boxes of Orden which there has been no mention of! They are just calling Darken Rahl an evil evil man without giving us a reason why except that he's not very nice to the people he rules.
And why is Darken Rahl able to catapult a few 'bombs' at the border and put a hole in it?! Richard is supposed to inadvertently tear it down with magic right? From what I remember. It's supposed to be a barrier made with old magic thousands of years ago. And It's not supposed to be kinda see through, it's supposed to be very thick and takes hours to travel. And WHY does Darken Rahl have a Journey book?! Sister's of the light are supposed to be the only ones to have them! Not that it's a rule, but they are very rare and Darken Rahl doesn't get one! Gah. It hurts my heart. You'd think in this day and age, with a story so deep, so philosophical, you wouldn't even DREAM of doing it like this. This is so much more than a guy named Richard helping people and saving the day. He inspires people, they follow him because they WANT to, not because they HAVE to. Richard finds the right thing to do in every situation and people respond to that. He goes from a simple woods guide to a leader of nations and hundreds of thousands of people.
