Ok, just for the record angler fish are just freaking weird. I mean they are fascinating and all but i just found out that apparently the males are basically just parasites instead of anything helpful. The female angler (the big one with the lantern in front of it)will release some kind of odor in the water which will attract a male and then the male like some weird vampire fish will latch itself on to the female with his razor sharp teeth and slowly but surely begin to melt into the female. he then begins to deteriorate losing all of his organs as well as his eyes and only leaves his testes behind for reproduction reasons. so they become mates for life...but it costs them a life? i mean i wonder if the male fish even truly dies or if it just becomes a part of the female and so they join as one?! not to mention that a female can hold up to six males at least and some of these suckers get to be close to 4 feet long, not to mention they weigh well over 110 pounds. *shudders* i don't know...but i think its kind of cool; in that creepy i really never want to be a fish at the bottom of the ocean scary vampire fish image sort of way. ;)

Anyhoot, i was just doing my homework and that just made me smile, well first it made me feel slightly creeped out, but then i had to smile! hopefully everyone is having a good night <3
