Writer's Block: By Any Other Name

If you could rename yourself in real life, what would you choose, and why?

Funnily enough, I love my names.  They have both always been unique to me.  I've never met another with my name although I did see a guy on a game show once with the same name and did read a book with a character with the same name.  Growing  up hower it was a different story.  I was often teased by being called toro, also because no one else had that name I thought it was awful.  I wanted the one of the really popular names at the time, like Jennifer (there were three in my 8 grade homeroom alone.)  As I grew older I wanted to be known by my middle name.  There are many various adaptations including Janelle and Jhanelle, but no one I ever met had my particular middle name spelling.  Did once teach a child whose name was spelt Jhonelle which made me feel way better about the name.  Besides with my first name beginning with J I could be called JT for short or JC.  Oh well no such luck.  As an adult now, with the world on my shoulders, I have a deep appreciation for how special and unique my names are.  When I had thought I would need to change my last name I cried.  At this point in life my names mean everything to me.  Once you hear my first name you'll never forget it.  Oh you'll misspeak it and even misspell it a time or two, I've become accustomed to that.  These days I answer to anything as long as it's in the same name range.

writer's block, rename me
