Attack on Titan: The End of the World Review
Watched it about an hour ago so here we go with the review! And I think you'll be partially shocked...
SPOILERS
Rule One: Forget the origins of Shingeki no Kyojin and just take this version for what it is. Once you're in that mindset, I think (just like me) you'll enjoy the second half a LOT more than the first movie! Yes you heard it here for: I enjoyed it!
Positives:
Once again the CGI!! It really is phenominal CGI and omg yes. I just love it! I need to find out who did it! But it is a Warner Bros product though right? So they probs used their software. I love how each of the Kyojin has their own colour when they transform / their own coloured steam.
Also the soundtrack is great! It really had my attention in this movie - I didn't notice it in the first one - and seriously enjoyed it! It worked perfectly in creating the mood!
Hanjo <3 she was hilarious in this one and needed WAY more screen time!
Hasegawa Hiroki <3 fucking hell.... that champagne scene <3 fuck! I need to see more of his stuff seriously!!!
The action/choreography! If we take out the shakey camera and focus only on the actual action and the type of action and the choreography then it's definitely a positive. Who ended up being in the battles was the best part! The people who were the main villains and stuff omg it was great!! But I won't say too much even though this is a spoiler section, I don't wanna say all spoilers about a film that's only just come out at the cinemas in Japan xD
The Eren x Replacement-Levi gay vibes <3 holy crap they were flying all over the place! And OMG when replacement-Levi put his hand to Eren's face and then MOVED his hand down! Holy shit! Gay was ALL OVER THE PLACE! It was BEAUTIFUL <33
Negatives:
Too short again. Needed at least another half hour.
Miura Haruma - I've figured it out! He seems to play every character the same way. There's never an serious differentiation between the way he performs his characters. It always feel fake. It always feels obvious that he's acting rather than being able to see his character, I ALWAYS just seen him. And the other thing I figured out is the way his voice sounds when he yells is way too high for my personal liking when I guy is screaming in mental or physical pain. It's not a nice screaming voice for me personally.

Once again, the romance -_- it got a little worse this movie...
Where the FUCK was Watanabe Shuu?!?!?!?!? He said he was in the movies and I didn't find him in EITHER of them! What the fuck happened there?!?!? I'll tweet him and find out xD
The ending! OMG I cannot express my anger at this ending!!! It really pissed me off. It felt like a serious cliff hanger like we were only JUST getting to the juicy stuff and BOMB ending credits -__- It definitely feels like they've left it open for a third film -__- but like Death Game Park, Aku no Kyoten, Kami-sama no Iu Toori we probs won't get a sequel -___-

Overall Thoughts: I enjoyed this one a LOT more than the first one and I knew I would when I saw the trailer at the end of the last film. This was action packed, Hanjo was hilarious, so many gay moments <3 but of course it had it's down, mainly one certain person and that DAMN ending!!!! RAGE! But was an improvement from the first film. I would say if you watched the first then defo invest time in the second film (with the mind set of no comparing it to the anime/manga) but if you didn't see the first and have no real interest or intention to then don't even attemp to watch these two films.
