Anohana Review!
SPOILERS!
This started off pretty weak to be honest. But by the halfway point I was super invested! The whole granting her wish thing was pretty cute so I liked the concept. What annoyed me is that Jintan is suppose to be a hikkikomori but within like 5 seconds of being introduced to him, he's outside and fine - I couldn't really understand why he was a hikkikomori (I mean it's obvs he's traumatised from Menma and his mother dying but he went outside way too easily imo). But DAMN he looks SO good in those glasses and hat! <3
I didn't really see the point of Akori Tsuruko (I think she's called, far right) and Bobbo at all. They didn't add anything to the story, especially Bobbo so I don't think they were needed, it could've worked as just a 4 person relationship/story. And I can't stand whenever the actress playing Anaru smiles full stop - it makes her age DECADES!
OMG Menma's mother needed a serious slapping! No she needed MORE than a serious slap. Fucking unworthy mother, spending year mourning over her daughter instead of paying her son attention! How fucking selfish can you get! Fucking props to her son for turning out a decent and nice kids regardless of the fact he's literally been neglected for 7 fucking years. Honestly, I would've murdered her if I could! Fucking ungrateful fucking wanker. Yes you're daughter dying is sad but fucking hell! You're son's still alive, treasure him! fucks sake... I need to cool off...
Felt sorry for the father too and he seemed VERY supportive and caring <3
Best performance by far was Shison - his character definitly had the best development too! That scene when he's ontop of Jintan just yelling and crying his heart out!! OMG I could not cope and ALL the way through I was like 'GIVE HER THE DAMN CLIP!!!!!' < / 3 Nijiro didn't show much scope in my attention which could've been because of the fault of the writers and stuff but I felt he didn't have much room to expand and really show off these skills that Tbscreenrider raves about so much. So I was a little 'meh, okay' towards him. Still thought his acting was really good and I really liked his character but he definitely wasn't on Shison level. FUCK he's 18! But yeah, I'll defo continue to watch Nijiro's other stuff in future, I still trust tbscreenrider in that he's done some seriously good performances in other things. Also, he looks and sounds like Suda Masaki when he's yelling/crying so that's always welcome <3
It was nice that he finally admitted to Menma that he liked her and still likes her. My heart was breaking at that point!
Oh damn those final like 10 minutes or so? Could not stop crying!
I would've been SO pissed if they all couldn't have seen her at the end! I'm so happy they could or else I would've been SO pissed! Cos they all deserved to see her at the end. Just a shame it was of her crying -__- wtf you crying? You a ghost! Y u acting like you're in physical pain?! Anyways...

Overall Thoughts - NON-SPOILER This was a very cute drama and while it took it's time to grab my interest, I was invested by the end and was crying like a bitch. The best performance was definitely from Shison in my opinion! He was just WOW! My heart seriously <3 and I felt that Nijiro (especially seen as Tbscreenrider raves about him so much) didn't get much room or chance to show his talents as an actor. But I thoroughly enjoyed it and will probs rewatch it and/or watch the anime in future =]
