Ron laid in his bed, staring at the ceiling. He was not looking forward to getting up, and heading into the common room. She was likely to be there. And how could he face her after watching her last night. She had the nerve to enjoy herself while he and Harry were miserable with the Pavarti twins. What was so great about Viktor Krum anyways? That he was a Quidditch player? Bah, what was so impressive about that? The man couldn't even say her name. Ron had never had trouble saying her name.
It was probably the that he was older and a champion. It couldn't just be that he was champion. Harry was a champion and she didn't go with him. No, definitely because Krum was older than they were. Big deal, so he was almost done with school, a Tri Wizard Champion AND a star Quidditch Player.
It couldn't possibly be because Viktor Krum had seen something in Hermione Granger that Ron had missed. It couldn't possibly be because Viktor Krum actually had the nerve to ask her.
