Alpha Entry (6)
Welcome back to Chudda Alpha. When we last left off our heiress Jo had just had twins Quimney and Wocket. And older sister Ellis became a widow after less than 24 hours of marriage. Since I love Ellis in both universes that just wouldn't do. So Carol (I) insisted that she take a vacation.
After a visit with the Wise Old Man, Ellis decided that she should take a chance at love again. When she returned home she started the process to adopt. After several months Hailey joined the family and officially became a Swain.
A/N: (It was at this point that I got the idea to play on the twists to keep things interesting. Basically I started using randomizer and a list of possible events to shake things up...and boy do things shake up over here.)
Hailey loved going over to legacy central and having water balloon fights with her Great-Grandpa Roland. Although this Great-Grandpa was different than the other one. Her real momma had taught her how to be sensitive to the other universes out there....and they'd also taught her not to talk about it too much at her first school. The legacy sims didn't always understand there were more versions of themselves out there.
Her Roland wore glasses, and he certainly wasn't a zombie. Of course he didn't like fishing like the other one and he had a hard time taking care of himself. Still he was probably much happier not being a zombie she'd bet.
Hailey didn't much like her Catherine. She liked the other Catherine so much better. The other one was strong and even though she was strict, she was loving. Hers was strict alright, but hers didn't seem to care.
Her Aunt Joshua...(in the other world Jo was her Uncle. And there he wasn't the heir) But they were both funny. She liked them both. And in her world there was Uncle Dominique too. She wasn't really sure what her Uncle Dom was like in the other place. When she closed her eyes and tried to find him, she hadn't had much luck. Maybe when she got older she would be able to find him.
She loved playing with her Wocket and Quimney too. Of course her Wocket and Quimney. well her Quimney was a girl. Plus one of them would be heir someday.
Speaking of people that were hard to find in the other world...Paul. Her mom's new husband and her new daddy. Her mom Ellis had been married before, but he'd died.
Of course the whole family was different in her world. In the other world Ellis wasn't even her parent. The other Ellis was her uncle and he was the heir to the whole family. She still thought her mom would have been a great heiress, but she guessed all the sad stuff that had happened made her think she couldn't do it
Here her "dad" was her Aunt. And her sister Ini was her cousin...Man her life was confusing. Her Aunt Jon was married to a paper-boy instead of a paper girl. Meanwhile her world's Amy was still just a paper girl. While the other Hailey's Alon was still just a paper-boy. She giggled. What else was different here?
Oh yeah baby "Eli" would be her brother or sister. She'd already told her parents that was the perfect name. They'd looked at her funny, but Ellis and Paul both decided it was the best name they'd come across so far. They decided to surprise Hailey. Of course Hailey wouldn't be surprised at all.
As it turned out Eli was her brother. She loved the fact that Eli was a boy in her world too. And she rather liked being a big sister to a brother. It was different than being a big sister to a girl. And besides, Eli worked a lot better as a boy's name.
"You ready to go to Aunt Jo's house Eli? We're having a sleepover tonight! That should be fun even with Crabby Cat there."
Cabby Cat was what she called her Grandma. Only not where the old woman could hear. She'd get into so much trouble if she did that.
"Hi Hailey!"
"Hey Quimney. How's it going?"
"Pretty good. School was okay. Can't say I like studying that much. But PE's pretty fun."
"Hey! I meant to tell you. I tried doing those tricks you showed me. I saw Great-Granpa's ghost last night. Okay, not really. But I felt him though. I know I did."
Hailey grinned, "That's great Quimney. Just keep practicing. It took me a while before I could see anyone that had passed over."
"You wanna play catch with me Hailey?"
"Well...."
"Please???"
"QUMINEY! Why did I agree to this?"
"Cause I'm your favorite cousin and you love me?"
"Come on Eli! You sing the nursery rhyme with Quimney all the time. We're supposed to be buds little dude."
"Sorry you didn't have much luck teaching your cousin the nursery rhyme kiddo."
"Maybe he was just tired Aunt Ellis."
"Hmm I'll bet you're right Wocket. You're so smart. No wonder you brought home an A+ on your first assignments."
"Aunt Ellis!" Wocket laughed. He always got so nervous whenever someone tried to praise him for things.
"Hailey, Wocket you two need to come inside."
"Okay Grandma." Wocket said cheerfully.
Hailey followed closely behind thinking. "Mom finally got you off the couch huh you old bat? The other Catherine would have taken care of all of us today by herself. And mommy and daddy could have celebrated their anniversary like they'd planned just like Aunt Jo and Uncle Dom."
"Grandma can we watch cartoons?"
"Cartoons will rot your brain. We're watching the cooking channel. I still say you girls should be in bed already."
Man I really wish Aunt Carol wasn't out of town so we could have stayed at her place. A sleepover there would have been so much more fun.
She turned to her cousin, "Quimney what are you reading."
"I'm studying sim Physiology."
"Seems a pretty useless thing to be studying." Catherine muttered.
I'm so jealous of the other Hailey right now.
"It was so great of your sister to keep the kids so we could go to the Chesse Convention for our anniversary."
"Ellis is an awesome twin Dom.Mom just wouldn't keep the kids.. But we so need to make this up to her and Paul first chance we get."
"Hmmm. Tell ya what I'll take off work next Saturday and I'll take the kids to the park. Ellis and Paul can then live it up for a few hours."
"No, I've got a better idea! Let's head home now and surprise Ellis. She can leave Eli and Hailey with us like she planned. That way she and Paul can still enjoy at least part of their anniversary."
"Love it wife of mine. I'll just grab the car keys."
"And, I'll check us out of the hotel."

Saturday Fall Rotation Headline:
Joshua and Dominique Hunter current heir to Chudda's resident legacy family passed away in a tragic car accident last Friday night. The couple was driving home from the annual Convention of Cheese when a truck ran a red light slamming into the legacy family's car. Dominuqe died instantly. While Joshua passed away a few hours later at Chudda Memorial. They are survived by their two children Wocket and Quimney. Due to the tragic death of the current heiress, heirship of the family has currently passed to older sister Ellis Swain.
