There are many ways in which I am inadequate - I have thin eyebrows, I can't get through an entire opera at the theatre, and I come up with zillions of ideas upon which I cannot follow through.
This is one of them.
Unfortunately I thought about the tracklist long and hard, and have had many a chuckle to myself, so I feel like sharing it, since I won't be writing Heroes smutfic for a little while. (Too tired; too busy; too stressed, though writing Ritual de-stresses me like nobody's business.) I personally possess about 25% of these songs, but I know them all quite well, and have proved inspirational. I listen to a LOT of "oldies", and I am particularly interested in the songs that never really make it onto oldies radio very often because they're just TOO WEIRD.
If you know these songs, this will make you laugh, too; and if you don't (which I'm assuming that most people under the age of 40, unless they're nostalgia freaks, won't) check out these tracks, and allow this to be your entry into the strange, kinky, obsessive, weirdly sensual world of 60's pop music. (With the obligatory Jeff Buckley, because he's even more blatantly strange, obsessive, and weirdly sensual.)
If anyone wants to find these songs (by these artists only; accept no substitutes) and make the fanmix yourself, please go for it - give me credit for the tracklisting, but please hog the rest of the glory for yourself. And share it with me, naturally! :)
Here's a link to Ritual (44): 'Destiny and Desire'. It's a trip to re-read this story now that I know what Arthur's voice sounds like. Tee hee!

And now, back to nursing my headache. Feels like my brains have been sucked out through a straw, and I'm ready for mummification.
