back home now

Took today off. I go back to work tomorrow. I'm so out of it. Ugggh. I should go make some coffee or at least eat something.

So my flight back last night had been overbooked, but fortunately they didn't have to kick anyone off. My seat didn't have a seat in front of it...okay, so imagine a row with two seats and an exit door, then imagine a row with three seats right behind that. I was in that row, with the exit door right in front of me. I felt a little uncomfortable and therefore a little jumpy, bleh. And I started to worry because I didn't know where to put my bag, but the lady next to me said she had enough room in front of her seat for both of our bags, and there was, thank goodness. The guy behind me kept fidgeting and hitting my seat in the process, which was annoying. The flight itself had a couple of pockets of turbulence but was otherwise smooth. I was freezing. Then we landed and I waited for the plane to empty enough to get my other bag in the bin a few rows behind me. Then I got out of there, got myself food and made it back home in time to catch the end of the Angels-Red Sox game.

I never did make it into Seattle. :P I suck. But the trip was not a failure by any means, and I'm sure I'll be in the area again soon enough. I might do a Vancouver / Seattle combination for my birthday trip, haven't decided yet. Anyway, I'm baaaack. Time for coffee. Oh, that reminds me! I generally drink quite a bit of coffee (2-3 cups a day), but during my trip I only had coffee three times. Weird.

travel, rambling
