In that case, well, my only advice is: stop dumbing yourself down. Use higher-level vocabulary routinely, if you think in it(I know I do). Don't hesitate to say something profound if it pops into your head

Jeez. I don't think you're dumb by any means, and I know for a fact you're way intelligent. It was a different style than what I've usually seen you write. When I asked if you wrote it, I definitely wasn't questioning your intelligence.
