Day 3 of Operation K
I'm so exhausted. I took the week off to take care of my 21/2 yr old nephew while his parents are in Europe. This is the first time he's been away from his parents. Ever.
During the day, its not so bad. He's easily occupied with playing and watching Power Ranger DVDs. Yesterday w/ went to the Science Center (the kids park there is amazing, btw). At night its been a different story. The first night, he went to bed at 12:45am. Last nite it was 3:30am. He keeps crying for his mommy, refusing to do his usual bedtime routine. It breaks my heart b/c there isn't anything I can do about it. I keep explaining she'll be back in 6 sleeps, that she misses him and loves him. I've been giving him as many hugs & kisses he will allow. What more can I do?!
