Like I'm honestly more scared than I have ever been. Last night he told me that after he had broken up with her, he said to himself you're such an asshole, why would you do that? I just don't understand. I really, really don't understand. Ahh I'm so scared.

I can understand why you're scared, but, the thing is, Scott's (pretty much) with you now. He was with Stephanie for a long time. Of course he's going to think about her every once in a while, you know? I know you don't think about Mike much anymore, but I guess it was just easier for you to break things off with Mike than it was for Scott to break things off with Stephanie... especially since when you and Mike broke up, you knew it was coming. You knew things were going downhill, so you had more time to prepare yourself and get over everything. (Not to mention the fact that you were fully aware that Scott was what you wanted, and Scott was what you would get.) On the other hand, I think things with Scott and Stephanie were more sudden. He was annoyed with her, but he was willing to put up with it. I guess he figured that if he put up with it long enough, he wouldn't notice it anymore, or it would just go away. I guess he thought of the good times and hoped that, in the end, they would outweigh the bad. He probably thought
