Eragon the movie
So Eragon is absolutely amazing.
I'm not sure if this movie met my "expectations" or not, but generally, it was very good. Of course, since the book is like, a million pages long, a ton of things were excluded, but overall, they got the main idea of the story in. The animation was amazing. Saphira was probably the thing I loved the most about this movie. She looked exactly like the way she's portrayed on the cover of the book. Just...GUH! She was so realistic! I wish I was her dragon rider :( Also, I was kind of iffy with Edward Speleers at first, but he grows on you and he gets really cute. And Sienna Guillory! I was on the fence with her being Arya, too, but she's GORGEOUS and she was really good in the film. She really reminds me of Arwen, which makes me happy, because elves UNITE! All the other actors were great, but the one I was looking most forward to was Garrett Hedlund. I remember falling in love with him when I first found out he was going to be Murtagh, and just. GAH. He was rather angsty and mysterious and frakking sexy in the movie and I DIED. JUST. BAH. Especially his action scenes and his hair's all what I imagine Sirius' hair is like in the Marauder-era and just SKJFHS I LOVE HIM. Also, I noticed something significant about his looks:
he looks exactly the same as Jesse Spencer.
Okay, so Jesse has a bit of a beard going on in that picture, but when he's shaved, they look so similar! And the eyes! THE EYES! And the hair. Guh. So yeah, I seem to have some sort of a trend when I crush on celebs. Except for Sean Faris. Because he's the brown-haired, brown-eyes mysterious type :P And I love him to bits.
Anyway, awesome movie. I loved it. I'm going to re-read the book and see it again during the Christmas break. So... YAY!
I suggest you go see it asap. :)
