Reading has always been a hobby of mine ever since I was a little girl. I could still remember reading a lot of graphic novels, because colorful drawings just simply appeal to me. I've moved on to reading fiction novels when I got into elementary. That's when the Harry Potter and all those famous books turned into movies were starting to be famous. Fast forward to high school and college and probably even up until now, I've become more inclined into reading romance aka chic lit novels, because who doesn't want a happily ever after with a handsome boy who's got loads of cash right? I suppose compared to my colleagues who read those deep and insightful novels I only read those that are predictable and shallow. The only time I read deep stories is when it's required for school. LOL
Anyway, I'm digressing a whole lot by telling my history with books, so here's my take on reading comics. If you're reading this right at this moment in time, you're probably aware to the fact that there are a lot of comics being turned into movies. Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe was initiated, I instantly fell in love with the movies most especially the Iron Man franchise. It took me after watching "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" to really get myself into reading comics. I've tried and loved reading manga/s in the past, so why not? Lately, I've been reading Marvel's Civil War comic event and I'M LOVING IT~ I quite understand now why comic lovers are somehow disappointed with the turn out of the movies, because the comic is written and drawn in a manner that lures the readers in.
Here's a snippet from the comic series I'm currently reading:
"It is the inevitability of hard times, which we survive only because of the moments of joy in between."
I'm just amazed as to how these writers even thought of these powerful dialogues between characters. You might want to read one just for fun! :D
