Is it really shocking?
A few weeks back, I rekindled my love for Japanese dramas and music; thus, the birth of this livejournal. May be I got too overwhelmed with Korean and Taiwanese dramas that I unconsciously started browsing Japanese dramas or checking out some updates with Arashi. I think I mentioned in my introductory post that I'm mainly using this journal for mainly keeping up with my ichiban aka Arashi. I fell in love with the group when I listened to "Love So Sweet", but eventually after HYD I wasn't really able to keep track of their activities and shows since the language barrier was a real struggle. Unlike with Taiwanese / Chinese series, I can understand most of the dialogues, so they're easy to follow.
Now that I'm back oogling over Arashi (their music and variety shows and dramas combined), some of my friends are quite shock to know that I'm a fan of the group. One said, "Aren't they old for you?" Well, I don't think age matters in this scenario. Plus my age gap with Matsujun (the youngest) is less than a decade. (Let me put it out there, okay, Matsujun is my main ichiban) Another one said, "WHOA, I didn't know you were a fan!" Well, well, well, I am. I'm not sure if it's just how I project myself to people that make them think twice, because when some of my friends discovered that I'm into KPOP, C-POP, they all gave me the same expression. I couldn't help but laugh, because I'm a real Asian junkie. Given the fact that I'm also Asian, there's nearly impossible for me not to stumble upon one of the infamous romcoms from these countries.
