My husband didn't want a dog--mainly because his childhood dog was so badly behaved--but my kids and I overruled him and got one anyway. My husband got to meet Sean briefly (two evenings) and then went out of town for five days. I spent those five days working on some basic commands (sit, stay, come, heel) that would help convince my husband that Sean would be a well-behaved dog. He was doing great! He'd obviously learned these from a previous owner and just needed a refresher course. My husband would be so impressed!
My husband comes home, squats down to greet the dog, the dog puts his front paws on my husband's knee, and PEES ON MY HIM. Yes, I want the dog to make a good impression on my husband, and the dog pees on him. Oh, Sean.
(And no, it wasn't because he hadn't been walked lately. My son had taken him outside less than an hour before.)
