Long time, no post

Well, it has been quite a while since I last posted, partly because my computer died in December and got fixed just last month, and partly, OK mostly, because I am just bad at updating :S

Since my last post I have visited my oldest brother, Ed, down in Eden, Ohio near the Ohio/Indiana border and amusingly enough not very far from Edgerton, Ohio. I also got to see my nieces and nephew while I was down there.

I am STILL unpleasantly unemployed. I am so sick of it that I am actually going to be turning in applications to work at fast food (Shudder). There is only so much sitting at home doing a whole not of nothing that I can stand, and it is starting to drive me a bit crazy. Being unemployed and living alone is much worse than when I was living with John and Beck, especially now that they live in Parchment :(

I've had a lot of dreams lately, about two or three a week, for the most part I don't remember much of them, they made sense while I was dreaming, but when I wake up they are just a jumbled mess in my head that really didn't make any sense at all. There were a few exceptions of course.

I had one dream that I was a Vampire, I was working as a bodyguard for a vampire lady at a party and I had to break one guys arm and take away another guys whip and beat him with it when he wasn't careful enough with it. After the party I had to dispose of two bodies and then I was walking home under an overcast, late afternoon sky which I found unpleasant and mildly painful but nothing more that that, at least until the sun came out and I found myself leaping into some thick bushes to get out of the light. The next thing I knew I was back in my apartment, not my real apartment though, this one was mostly underground with windows that were five to six feet off of the floor and only about a foot tall and there was a set of stairs leading up to my front door. In the dream I knew it was my apartment though and it was very familiar to me. I don't remember much after that point.

About a week later I had another dream that I remembered in which I was a werewolf and I was teaching another person (in the dream it was Boyer, despite the fact that it really didn't look like him at all) how to be a werewolf. I don't remember much more about that dream though.

Later that week I had another dream where I could fly in the way I usually do in dreams by concentrating and sort of pushing off of the ground with my mind and using my hands to stabilize myself. I remember that I was doing this near a town that straddled a mid-sized river that had Dutch style houses on each side and a paddle-wheel ferryboat that ferried people across the river. There was also an amusement park just a little ways upriver of me. I remember trying to prove to someone that the way I was flying wasn't a trick, but no matter what I did he just congratulated me on my ability to fool him. After that I was trying to teach other people how to fly as well with no success.

I had two other dreams that I remember vaguely. In one it was like I was in a FPS video game of some sort and I was flying around firing energy blast at a bunch of Darth Vader looking guys with double ended, Darth Maul-style, light sabers. The only thing I remember from the other dream was walking along a path through the woods with my arm around a dark haired woman a little bit shorter than me and she had her arm around me and was leaning against me as we walked through the woods. I remember feeling completely contented in the simple pleasure of walking along with her... and then I woke up.

I went to Amanda Wilson Yearling's Birthday/Housewarming party about a week ago. I got to see little baby Kira, who is just adorable, and their kitties who were also adorable, especially Mittens with his(her?) thumbs AHHH!!! look out a cat with thumbs the world is DOOOOOOOMMMED!!! :P I also go to meet Will's ex Sarah who was very nice.

After months of not doing much in the way of physical activity, partly due to not having a job and partly due to the fact that the weather has just been mostly unpleasant, I have realized that I am starting to get out of shape, so yesterday I started doing exercises again. I started with some stretches then twenty, four-count side-straddle hops(Jumping jacks for you non-military peoples), then a minute of running in place, then a set of fifteen, four-count mountain climbers(basically get into a sprinters starting position then switch your front and back legs four times and that is one), then fifteen four-count flutter-kicks(lay on you back, put your fists under your lower back and raise you feet into the air at about a twenty to thirty degree angle and begin kicking like you were swimming), and finally fifteen four-count sit-ups. The good news is my muscles are still in good shape, the bad news is my cardiovascular fitness has gone to hell. I plan on doing this at least three times a week, if not more, until I feel I have gotten back in shape.

dreams, updates
