Disturbing Dream

Last night I had a very strange dream. I do not remember most of it, just the part that disturbed me the most. I remember that there were cats, one large black cat, and one small gray cat. I was playing with the small gray one when the large black cat showed up, and for some reason I knew that the gray cat had to die. I didn't want to do it but I knew that if I didn't something terrible would happen, so I grabbed the cat by the head and twisted and there was this sickening snapping noise. I placed the cat in front of me, and it looked like it was sleeping, then I realized that I had another cat just like the first in each hand by the head, and that I had to kill them too. So I whipped my arms up and snapped them down quickly and I could feel the bones in their necks snap. I placed those two next to the first, and again I had a cat by the head in each hand. I started crying and I woke up with the image of those three cats lying in front me as if sleeping and the horrible knowledge that I had to do it again.

I think that this is probably the most disturbing dream I have ever had, and the closest thing to a nightmare I have had in a very long time.

I just hope that the image of those cats and the memory of the snapping bones will fade quickly
