baudelaire and his poetry, and also, virgil's first eclogue is hilarious

thefourthvine  posted her Yuletide letter a week ago and she put forth a request for a story about BAUDELAIRE'S POETRY. I cannot textually render my love for this, I truly cannot, because I may be wary of any and all French poets, but Baudelaire has a secret special place in my heart, and my copy of Les Fleurs du mal l is still on my bedside table, and sometimes I pick it up and read a poem and smile happily to myself like the loon I am.

Also clearly someone should write a story about how Mal is a ghost who has been haunting old mansions ever since she died in 1598 and somehow becomes friends with Baudelaire and therefore Les Fleurs du mal is a sly reference to her and her otherworldly rack... wait. WHY AM I ALONE IN THINKING ABOUT THIS SORT OF NONSENSE, WHY (ANYWAY THIS IS A GREAT IDEA, SOMEONE REALLY SHOULD WRITE THIS STORY, an entire poetry collection dedicated to Mal's beautiful breasts = total awesomeness)

I also have great visions of recasting Virgil's Eclogues with Arthur and Eames engaged in an endless loop of various banter scenarios and coyness asjd;ls'da I am judging myself so much right now :( But it would be beautiful and Arthur would be so angry, and Eames would be so :D? all the time, and then it would end in bad sex because that's how I roll, but they would be so in love, yes, so in love :D

I am very sorry, Virgil, I'm not doing it on purpose :(

poetry is baffling, anus recocta vino
