"It's about time"
Sometimes the most sublime pleasures are the most simple ones.
Last night my daughter and I watched a movie* together, before she fell asleep. I carried her to bed, tucked her in and kissed her brow before withdrawing.
Right now, I have James Taylor playin' on my laptop while I bustle around the house. Sunlight has turned the blinds on my east-facing windows a bright white. Maybe we'll go to the zoo later today, if it's not too hot.
*By the way, "Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas" is an awfully good animated flick, and so few people know about it. It's from Dreamworks, not from Pixar or Disney, so it cam in under most people's box office radar. Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michelle Pfeiffer and Joseph Fiennes did the main voices. And, it gets two thumbs up from Amy and Rob. (As well as Ebert and Roeper)
