Crosspost - San Francisco Pride

Jul 03, 2013 20:01

This past Sunday was the San Francisco Pride Parade and even though I worked, I wasn’t about to miss that. I took lots of photos, so this will be the first of several posts on Pride!

The parade was set for 10:30 and I wanted to get good spots for me and my friends who were coming up from Monterey, so I got up, got dressed (in my fantastic rainbow dress!), put on some colorful eyeliner (all the makeup I own!), and headed out to arrive in the parade area by 9:30! This meant I was able to get myself and my friends some fantastic seats on top of those coin-pay newspaper boxes - it put us close to the front and above the crowd. So even though there were people in front of us, we could still see EVERYTHING.

So here I am before the parade starts! On my perch, in my fantastic rainbow dress and eye make-up!

Other people were finding other perches for good viewing:

Storefronts

And bus shelters!

Otherwise, you were stuck in the crowd, like so:

Due to technical difficulties, my friends were late to arrive, but they finally got there and were able to enjoy the fantastic seats as well!

And of course, we took photos together! Look! For once, there are photos of me where my expression doesn’t look like I’m about to steal your soul! (These stolen from my friend’s facebook ‘cause they were on her camera!)

In addition, there's a video, but I have no idea how to crosspost it over here without having to reupload it, so instead you can find it HERE.
