Awkward Writing
I have been working on a piece for just about a month now. I have been really struggling with it for one major reason: writing an "intimate encounter" between two characters you don't ship is hard. I'm running with "intimate encounter", because I don't know if I'll be able to make it through a full blown sex scene. I'm trying, because this encounter is specifically alluded to in a later piece, but it's coming out so awkwardly.
I'm thinking I'm going to have to gloss over a lot, because I don't want it to come across as awkward. These two are comfortable with each other. They are good friends. They are co-workers. And they totally have a sexual history together in my head-cannon. But I just can't write them together. Ugh. Talk about frustrating.
But on a positive note: I finished the first chunk (chapter?) of my YnM and T&B crossover fic. I'll be posting that soon, but I have some of my students for only 2 more days (AHHHHHHHH *panicpanicpanic*), so my focus is there right now. But in 10 more days (AHHHHHHHH *panicpanicpanic*), I will be entirely done with this school year. So you can be sure to expect a whole lot more starting in June. :)
