Brief from the Chief
Chief just gave me a quick message via PINpoint that he had met with with The Shadow, and that it was "effective". I get the feeling that's code for "well, we didn't kill each other" or something along those lines. I can't recall him ever using the term before. I know the Old Tiger was concerned about meeting the Chief, but at least it sounds like they were civil enough to talk to each other.
Unfortunately, I was unable to reply to his summons earlier, but he had mentioned in his first message that it wasn't urgent. I caught up with him and we discussed keeping me state-side, and maintaining contact with my father over diplomatic matters in China. I'm a little frustrated with being kept out of China, it felt so good to go home for a bit, but his concern is valid. Someone is trying to get me out of the picture because of my involvement in working against the next war. As much as I dislike the idea of being watched over, I'm not going to go against his orders.
