Okay, so this is a really weird and specific thing to complain about, but I feel personally denigrated, and have yet another weird reason to hate Iron Maiden.

He sounds like one of those snotty kids at school who think they are superior to anybody else.Like you said, you don't have to know Latin to understand the joke anyway. And does he honestly think that all the students in the world learn Latin except the Americans? It's rude that he's referring specifically to Americans. It shows how much he likes stereotypes, something that only lazy and small minded people support.

Sorry for the rant, but I can't stand such people!

Well I'm not American and I never took Latin. Hell, I went to a Catholic school and we didn't study Latin!

However, I have taken German and I know I sucked at conjugating sentences according to either Dative, NOminative or Passive, and then whether the word was feminine, masculine or neutral. :/

Besides, it's the idea that the Roman isn't paying attention to the message but to the conjugation. So regardless of whether or not you've taken a foreign language class, if you have enough brains (which most people do - even if it's not always... obvious) you'll get the joke.

On a sidenote, my brother loves Iron Maiden, haha.

Haha yes I totally did! I loved the last picture you put up, "Please, would you mind terribly if I asked you to be quiet?" because I kept hearing that sentence in a devil-y voice, looool.

Tbh I thought Iron Maiden was an American band, so shows how much I know, haha.
