Ghost-Town Mondays at Natural Bridges

Jan 05, 2009 17:27

This quarter, I've been slated to work on Mondays at Natural Bridges. Anything was going to be preferable to the Sundays I worked last quarter. There's nothing more heinous than being wretched away from my boy and my bed on a Sunday morning. So today I worked my first-ever Monday, and it was strangely blissful. Rain fell pretty heavily through the day, and coupled with the low number of butterflies remaining (around five hundred), there were less than ten customers en toto. I worked with Chris who is the youngest and most handsome interpreter at the park (not much competition, though, since the next playboy-ranger in line is nearly fifty) and we finished a bunch of projects: donation letters with my fanciest calligraphy on the envelopes, re-laminating butterfly info signs... and listening to his band's album. Good day!
