Where do I even begin? Life is 100% different from 2 weeks ago...
Frank got an amazing job at Sonos as a software test engineer. We have a Sonos in the house, it was given to us as a gift from...well, someone very powerful in the music business. Frank's personal experience with the product, coupled with his previous testing experience and the recommendation from this powerful person were what secured this job for him. This new job will change our lives significantly and we are certainly indebted to that person.
The catch is this job is located in Santa Barbara, which is just under 100 miles north of Los Angeles. So...we made the difficult decision to move out of LA, to a point halfway between our workplaces called Thousand Oaks. We were able to find an apartment very quickly...we basically fell in love with a building and were astonished it was in our price range and signed the lease yesterday. Here's the building we'll be living in...the pictures don't do it justice. We move October 15th.
As of tonight I made all the money I need to comfortably go to Paris. I have more projects to finish which should earn me a little more. Once those are done I can just relax! If you were one of the awesome people I worked for, it was a privilege to sew, bake, paint and embroider for you. Thank you. Thank you so much.
And it's a little premature but I decided to do a little experiment in podcasting. Home Ec podcast isn't in the cards right now, but I have some lame ideas of my own and I want to get some experience under my belt any way I can. Since I was little I wanted to have a radio show, so doing this to any degree would be a dream realized. I just want to podcast so badly it hurts!
