Junk n Junk

WHOA. It's been a long time. Here's what happened.

Frank produced an album for a band called For The Kings, with stellar results. It will be up on iTunes (United States) and CDBaby soon, and is currently available for preview and download on Digstation. Hope you love it!

Home Ec closed its doors this Sunday past. True story. Due to a combination of high rent prices, low sales and general life control/time suckage reasons, Jenny decided to close up shop at our Sunset Blvd and sell our craft supplies and cute stuff online only. It's a bummer but it's also liberating at the same time. I haven't had a solid weekend to myself in a while. Plus new things are coming for the brand, like guest blogs and a podcast, which I've involved myself with.

Frank and I are fostering JoAnn's cat for a few months. Her name is Mini and she likes hunting and snuggling and we love her very much.

I have a lot of unfinished books, so today I resolved to try to finish one per month. August will be Homer's Odyssey.

On the health front, in addition to fast food, sodie pop, and frosting I have since eliminated:

-'free office sugar' which is basically the stuff in the giant candy bowl at the front desk and hot chocolate.
-'food as gifts' because I like to bake or buy sweets and set them out for my coworkers or Home Ec shoppers to nosh on but I always end up eating at least half the quantity. No mas.
-This week I'm training myself to just eat one sweet thing/dessert per day. If given the chance I WILL eat raw sugar for breakfast lunch and dinner. Once a day is plenty. This has been sort of tough, but I've been able to persevere through the other stuff so I feel confident about this.

I got in a fender-bender in June, minimal damage would be overstating it. The guy two cars ahead of me is claiming an injury. I'm claiming he wants help paying off his brand new Mercedes. No way dude.

Home Ec's closing means my second job is sort of...supsended...for a while, so I'm tightening my belt. Luckily I paid off my parking tickets and bought a couple wedding gifts for some friends while I still had the extra income so I'm not expecting anything to throw me off too much.
