TWO DOZEN YEARS AGO...

Nov 16, 2005 16:53

So the rest of my birthday was wonderful. My friend Sarah Hammill gave me a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of Bloody Mary Mix (clearly knows my beverage of choice...ha!).

So many of my friends from Texas called to talk and wish me a Happy birthday. My family. And everyone used the exact phrase that I deemed "Two Dozenth". It was great! Even Virginia called all the way from England! I'm so blessed with wonderful friends and family!

At 4:30, Reid and I had band practice for my birthday party on Saturday and that went really smooth. Thankfully.

Then, I went back to my place to get ready for my birthday date with Reid.

He came to get me around 7:20 with another birthday surprise for me. He bought me the chocolate fondue fountain that I've been wanting (for my dinner parties and such). So excited and surprised that he remembered such a little thing like that.

He took me to El Paseo for dinner, one of my favorite eats because they make your guacamole right in front of you to your specific liking. Dinner was tasty, as I knew it would be, and then we headed back to my house to review the directions for the chocolate fondue fountain and to double check on the ingredients necessary because you better believe that we were gonna heat that thing up and give it a first-go-round that night.

After hitting up the grocery store, we stopped by Legends for a few drinks and a mini-pacman-tourney. Raul, the owner covered our tab and a neighbor friend Denesh (spelling?) bought us each a drink as well in celebration of my TWO DOZEN YEARS!

We headed home and went straight to the kitchen to start the chocolate goodness fountain. Yum. YUM! YUMMY! That's one of the best things ever! I can't wait to take it to my birthday party this Saturday and show it off. I might even share the yumminess with my guests...

It was such a great night and Reid was so wonderful to make the entire day a celebration. With breakfast and bloody marys, to calls throughout the day, and then into the night it was truly the best birthday anyone person has done for me (excluding my mother, simply because she gave me the gift of life...haha!). I'm so happy. And the best thing is... the celebration continues tonight at my show at Legends and then out with a bang on Saturday night as well.

Peace, Love and Being Born!
