J.J.'s days hadn't been much better. Not only did he have to deal with press conferences and the regular nonsense with Quidditch, but he had to bloody explain to Logan what happened that night. They had sat there analyzing and talking for hours that next night, mostly Logan talking as J.J. just sat there dazed and explaining everything again. He tried not to think of her but when he was alone it was all that was going through his mind and he wasn't getting much sleep

No, her eyes did not just scan his body. No, her cheeks were not heating up. No, she was not suddenly extremely embarrassed by this situation. All of those would be figments of her imagination. Because surely JJ was not standing before her in only his boxers. And surely he did not have rippling abs that she suddenly wanted to run her fingers across. She was most certainly not imagining him with those boxers off. Hell no, Anya wouldn't dream of such a thing.
Simply put -- this was not happening. None of it. She was in a nightmare, clearly.
"I... caught you at a bad time. I'm sorry," She gulped, taking a deep breath. This was good, it gave her an excuse to leave again. And this time, she wouldn't come back. It was a bad idea for her to come in the first place, she shouldn't have come back, "I'll just... I'll come back later," Only that was a big fat lie. But still, she turned around to leave, cursing herself silently for being so idiotic and going against every instinct within her.
Anya may be embarrassed but he was even more so. After all he was in boxers and looking at Anya...and to put it frankly this was not a good position for EITHER of them right now. But that would be taken care of quickly before anything happened. Hopefully

Anya froze when he grabbed her arm, a part of her having hoped that he would do so. He didn't chase after her very often... something she always secretly wanted. Running away was her first instinct, but that didn't mean that she wanted to run away. If he had chased after her more before... well, she was under the impression that things would have turned out differently. But lets not think that just now

It did seem that way? Everything with them was always at an extreme. They both were extremely stubborn and competitive and yet he avoided emotions and touching like a plague while she jumped head first into them it seemed. And those were just the obvious ones. No wonder their relationship had always been different and crazy.
He was glad that she let go of his hand though, it helped him relax a bit. At least until she said that. Bloody hell was her goal to kill him before the end of the night? Figures she would want to do that.
J.J. shrugged, leaning back and covering up his emotions yet again. It was partially a conscious act but mostly unconscious. He was curious about it but to talk about his real emotions? Well that would be opening himself up to getting hurt.
What?? What the hell did she just do?!? What in the world did he expect? Honestly... he thought that they could just go from not seeing each other for eight flipping years to acting as if everything were as they were in school?? He was CRAZY if he thought that! And could you blame her for at least wanting to TALK about it? Even if it was only a little... Anya wanted to make sure that they were on the same wave length.
And yet, there he went, acting just as daft as ever. How they always did. Yeah, because that TOTALLY answered her question. UGH!!! He was so insipid at times.
This was the point where Anya was getting frustrated. It might not have been his fault, but she felt as if there should be more to this meeting, or whatever it was they were doing right now. She felt like he should be giving her more, like he was holding back from her. A lot. Which he WAS and she was starting to get really fed up with it.
But what could she do?? The last thing she wanted to do was to get all pissy and moody and snap. Although that really would
( ... )
Crazy or hopeful? He just kinda wished that for once there wouldn't be any bloody awkwardness between them. And that talk was surely going to bring awkwardness so if they just went as they were before...well that would just skip the whole process. No harm done!
Not his fault that she didn't see the brilliance in it. Bloody girls.
...and she was quiet. BLOODY HELL WHAT DID HE DO? Yes a quiet Anya was never a good Anya, he had learned that much. It was that or when she was yelling that he usually got hurt. Why should this be so complicated? It's simple! Easy even! Girls just had to go and muck it up.
"Nothing," She lied, her expression one of confusion. She could mask up her anger, see? She could do it, yes she could! He didn't need to be aware that she was kind of hurt and pissed and anything else in between. Believe it or not, Anya didn't want to make matters worse than they already were, so if what he wanted was to ignore it all and not talk? Fine. She could do that. Somehow.
See? Changed. It was selfless of her to think of him before herself. She had matured and wasn't quite as egotistical as she was when younger.
That was all he needed before he closed the distance and kissed her. And while it felt great, the kiss surprised him more than anything. It wasn't this passionate snog that he had thought it would be. No, instead it was slow and intimate...almost sweet even. As if it still held that innocent quality, even though both were beyond innocent by now, at least compared to their early years.
If he hadn't wanted to be kissing her he probably would have pulled back and gasped, but he didn't, instead putting his arms around her waist and pulling her closer. It was bloody fantastic. Bloody insanely fantastic.
It would probably end up getting more passionate as time went on, but for right now he was content with this almost lazy quality. He hated to say it, but it might actually be more of a turn on. In some aspects.
Only this kiss was not the type that she imagined they'd be sharing after eight years. Eight long years of not seeing one another, but thinking and dreaming. Eight long years of sexual tension that could not be released. Eight years of being with other people, but never being with the right person because they weren't together. It had, simply put, just been a long time and Anya could not believe it was happening now.
The kiss -- the sweet, almost innocent, slow, melt-your-heart-out worthy kiss -- literally took her breath away. For a second she wasn't able to breathe, but Anya was not complaining. This was well worth it. Well worth the wait, really. It was the best kiss of her life and she wasn't ashamed to admit that
( ... )
She may not be ashamed to admit it, but she may not want to tell him, lest his ego suddenly grows. Wouldn't want that happening now would we? But he didn't know that right now, so all was great and fine. At least for her sake.
J.J. would have to agree though that it was well worth the wait, and definitely the best kiss he had ever had. Why he didn't even want to try and get into right now, instead he was focusing on this bloody fantastic kiss. And maybe even pulling Anya that much closer.
He slowly deepened the kiss, liking the feel of her arms around his neck. Just forget everything and revel in the moment right?
The kiss deepened and her heart's pace increased just slightly. God, he tasted so good! She couldn't get it out of her mind. JJ... he was... oh gosh, he was so insane and frustrating and charming and sexy all at once. She couldn't, or wouldn't, ever get enough of him. Why had she stayed away for so long? To imagine this could have happened years ago. They might have dated a little in Hogwarts, but that was nothing compared to the chemistry they seemed to have now. It was electric.
She happily let him pull her closer, pressing her body against his before letting her fingers roam through his hair. The kiss deepened further and she knew she was addicted. In the back of her mind, she had to laugh a little, wondering how many women wished that they were her. To think of all his many fans... but she was the one to steal him away from them all. She always had been competitive, and this seemed to be the ultimate reward.

He sighed and looked at her, "What?"
