Continued from this thread. Which we did... almost exactly a year ago o.O Let's say its a few days later, mmkay?

How much more of a prat could she be?? Anya had been thinking about the night she accidentally let JJ catch her for well almost a week now. She couldn't get it out of her mind, in fact, no matter how hard she tried. She'd distract herself with anything. Everything! Only nothing seemed to work. He was in every little aspect of her day to day life. She'd see someone from the corner of her eye and think it was him. She'd hear someone speak and think that it sounded like his voice. His name was always on the tip of her tongue. And he was the only thing she dreamed about at night.

It was complete chaos. She was an utter mess. The days dragged on for eternity, it seemed. Seeing him again -- actually talking to him and spending time with him -- was tearing her apart. Because she wanted more!! More time to spend with him. More time to look into his eyes. More time to laugh and catch up and joke as they used to. More time.

Only she had run out on him. Again. That was becoming a bad habit of hers. It was the only thing she knew how to do. It was her only answer. Because he scared her. Not him literally speaking... but the idea of him. Of being with him. That scared her more than she would care to admit. Hell, she couldn't admit it. Not to him. Not even to herself. So she ignored it. She ignored that nagging feeling deep within her which told her to go back. Or at least she tried to ignore it.

Except it was slowly torturing her. Now that they'd spoken to each other after all these years... now that he knew she was right here in the city... Anya just couldn't bear it. She had to speak to him again. She had to be near him again, it was her only hope.

So. Somehow she managed to summon up the courage. To force her stubborn pride down into the pit of her stomach. She was determined to go back to his place, to visit with him once more and see if there was any chance at forgiveness. She'd lived without him in her life for too long -- Anya knew now that she couldn't go on living like this. She needed him. She needed JJ. Whether it be as a friend or something else, it didn't matter so long as she could just be near him.

She stared at his door for a good five to ten minutes before she finally forced herself to knock. The sooner she got this over with, the better. If he rejected her this time, fine. At least she would know that she tried.
